Titi Makfi faded badly in the closing stages at Newbury on her reappearance and is penalised for making all in Listed company at Kempton in November. Architecture failed to build on her promising three-year-old form last year and connections will be hoping for better this season while Wingingit joined Andrew Balding at the end of last term and was raised 11lb for a decent effort in the Arc Trial at Newbury in October. MORI showed good progress after winning a Listed race over 1m2f here last May and was narrowly beaten over today’s trip in the Ribblesdale at Ascot. She’ll go close with a similar effort on her return and gets the nod. The rest may struggle on these terms though William Haggas must consider What A Home capable of better having won a decent handicap at Doncaster in September.
