In depth

Verdict

Impersonator's long winning run came to an end at Killarney though that may have had as much to do with the longer trip as the 9lb rise for his latest success. Skylancer was in tremendous form at the backend of last year and though showing little in two subsequent starts this could be his time of year. St Devote has been running well in novice company and isn't overburdened on his handicap debut but Ponmeoath, though quite well handicapped over timber, is probably warming up for a crack at one of the big chases, a remark that may also apply to the versatile Reisk Superman and the useful chaser Clew Bay Cove, who hasn't had much racing recently. Georgie was beaten a long way when fourth at Down Royal last night. GUDNIS GRACIOUS ME was having her first start since completing a double in May when just failing to hold Wikaala at Tramore a couple of weeks ago and with that under her belt she can return to winning ways.
