Verdict

Stuccodor started out at a mile and has raced over further on his two subsequent starts. He makes his handicap debut and progress is expected though he's up against the progressive CALIFORNIA ROSE, who is up 8lb for her victory at Killarney but is improving enough to defy the burden and complete her hat-trick. Antiquus scored over this trip at Navan in October and reappeared with an excellent run over 1m2f back there in May. He has an obvious chance and though Merkel will be racing on Turf for the first time after seven runs at Dundalk there's no reason why she shouldn't be suited. Love Is The Key didn't reappear until June and she'll be having her ninth race since then and looks to have gone off the boil.
