Verdict

As we have seen so many times this season with Ballydoyle entries, King Of The Romans looked badly in need of the experience behind stablemate Theatre on his debut at Leopardstown. No doubt he'll improve out of all recognition but will need to against some promising types. Elleval ran really well against subsequent Group 3 runner-up Hard Yards at the Curragh while Muaanid represents the all-conquering Dermot Weld though that trainer hasn't won this since 1998. NURPUR made a promising debut behind subsequent Group 3 winner Haraiya at Leopardstown and though beaten when odds-on at Naas she had a nightmare passage in the race and the run is best ignored. She can make amends here.
