Verdict

A wide-open handicap chase here with many in form rivals in opposition including Mr Dow Jones, Over Zealous and Just Ruben and the vote goes to Mr Dow Jones. The gelding was a good second behind Count Campioni last time and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat with the booking of Richard Johnson catching the eye. Over Zealous has been in fair form of late but he looks high enough in the weights and he is better on softer ground. Just Ruben is on a fair mark but his best form is over a shorter trip so he cannot be backed with any confidence. Of the remainder Rockcliffe Gossip is on a handy mark and is from a yard in form but he has disappointed of late so for the winner we return to Mr Dow Jones.
