Verdict

The Paul Nicholls/Christian Williams combination is hard to ignore so Dancetillyoudrop has to be respected along with Caroline Bailey's Tom de Savoie, whose form is solid. The former has won from a mark of 110 under Rules and sets the benchmark for the form. However, the vote goes to Gunner Welburn's full brother, Private Pete. He could yet prove to be a genuine Cheltenham contender and today will tell us a lot more. Paddy For Paddy, trained by ex-jump jockey Guy Landau, has done fairly well pointing, as has Fred Hutsby's Bold Tactics. Storm Of Gold's old hurdling form would certainly give him respect and he can't be ruled out. Brackenheath beat Looks Like Trouble here as a novice hurdler and also won a hunter chase here in May 2001. Be My Dream's form under Rules is not far behind Dancetillyoudrop and he holds chances too.
