Verdict

It would be no great surprise to see GROVEMERE sent off as favourite for this contest as Rebecca Curtis has quickly made a name for herself in bumpers and is three from five with her runners here and has a one in three strike rate when Tony McCoy rides and this half-brother to Albertas Run is sure to attract plenty of interest. Tim Vaughan won this race last year and he's represented by Valley Lad, who is the first foal of an unraced dam from a good jumping family, and Tee Shot who is out of a winner on the Flat and over hurdles. Tenby Jewel made his debut in a fair race and shouldn't be discounted whilst Miss Hippy makes some appeal on paper and her yard have introduced one or two fair sorts in this sphere in recent times.
