Verdict

Custom Cut won four times in Group company last year and included today's rivals Shifting Power and Tullius among his victims. But the latter may reverse running as David O'Meara's charge is penalised 5lb for this and was a bit of a disappointment in the Lockinge at Newbury last time when well behind third-placed AROD. Peter Chapple-Hyam's colt was never going to catch Night Of Thunder at Newbury but that was his best effort since last year's fourth in the Derby and this looks more his trip. Placed in Group 2 company in France last year, Calling Out has yet to show any form for David Simcock while though Shifting Power beat Complicit at Windsor last month he showed his very best last season in testing ground. Macret looks up against it at this level.
