    Verdict

Unless Yameell proves to be out of the ordinary this is taken to go to Tarraman, who gets the vote ahead of Prime Contender and Munsef. The selection showed plenty of promise on his debut in a York maiden in October when second to Daring Ransom and should be up to taking this before going on to better things. Richard Hannon's Top The Charts improved with every outing last term and has to be respected but is more exposed than most and it will be a surprise if one of his rivals does not improve past him. Barry Hills, who has a fine record at this meeting, is represented by two runners, Astronomical and Prime Contender. Although Kieren Fallon rides the latter of the two, narrow preference is for the former, who has run with credit in two hot maiden as a juvenile and Michael Hills prefers him over his stablemate. John Dunlop's Munsef stepped up on his debut effort when chasing home a couple of useful types at Yarmouth on his second start and is another to consider but Mark Johnston's Tarraman holds solid claims and he gets the vote.
