Magnolia Ridge had been racing on the all-weather before winning a division of this last year off a higher mark but that is not the case this time round. SHERIFF OF NAWTON has been running well at Wolverhampton of late and can effectively race off a lower mark than when winning at the latter track in December with Josh Doyle's allowance taken into account. He gets the nod ahead of Nouvelle Ere, who scored at Kempton earlier this month and is preferred to Mr Soprano. First Sargeant returns to action off a 6lb higher mark than when winning at Windsor in October and City Ground was well beaten in the other division of this last year.
