FANAAN was returning from a very long break when runner-up behind Aclaim in a Newbury Listed contest last month. He was receiving 3lb from the subsequent Group 2 winner, who is now rated 114, so John Gosden's charge looks the one to be on. The stable also run Castle Harbour, a maiden and handicap winner in the spring before a decent run behind Ribchester in the Jersey Stakes but unraced since. Sovereign Debt hasn't won since scoring at this level at Leopardstown a year ago but has continued in fine form and has been narrowly beaten several times. He's usually best with a bit of cut in the ground so if the rains arrive would take the world of beating. Dandy Nicholls also runs Kimberella but he's much better known as a sprinter and has never won over a trip this far. Silent Attack finished runner-up in a Group 2 in Turkey but will need more here.
