GET KNOTTED won at York before placing behind Certificate over 7f here. A line through the latter gives him the beating of Nuno Tristan and he gets the vote with Michael Dods’ yard in such good form. Northgate Lad has been thereabouts on the all-weather of late and Normandy Barriere ran well for fourth at Ascot last week. Shore Step was third in last year’s renewal off a higher mark and Miracle of Medinah has slid further down the weights but looks to end a losing run that stretches back to 2013. It remains to be seen if last year’s Listed winner Sixth Sense retains all of his ability and Burnt Sugar continues to struggle.
