Verdict

There may only be five runners in this but four of them won last-time out and the quintet appear very closely matched. Sharqeyih should progress further after getting off the mark at Beverley. Miss Van Gogh has been first past the post in her last four but was thrown out by the stewards after beating LIL SOPHELLA a head at Hamilton in May and, courtesy of the penalty she picked up for scoring at Haydock last week, she is now 3lb worse off with Pat Holmes' six-year-old who won again at Hamilton two weeks ago. The latter gets a narrow vote, though the hat-trick seeking Margaret's Mission won't go down without a fight and Yat Ding Yau can't be completely ignored.
