Verdict

After leaving a favourable impression on both of his starts this season Clipperton is taken to strike another blow for new trainer on the block Andrew Balding. The Mister Baileys gelding is ideally suited by 10 furlongs and is on a very lenient mark at present. Assuming that there is no significant depreciation in the going, Clipperton can get the better of the improving Northside Lodge and Free Option, who still has a race in him despite his advancing years. Saponi has place claims on the pick of his form and should be suited by the trip. He is still lightly raced but has endured a number of niggling problems along the way. Sentiments that also apply to Loweswater, who along with Zawrak, is best watched today.
