In depth

Verdict

SHALAMAN (NAP) was having his first start for Matthew Smith when gaining a comfortable victory at Killarney on Wednesday and a 5lb penalty shouldn't prevent a quick double under Leigh Roche, whose claim is a bonus. Breath Easy bounced right back to form with an all-the-way victory at the Curragh last month though the placed horses have been well beaten subsequently and the beautifully-bred Sea The Lion may prove more of a threat after landing a Curragh maiden on just his second start. Shalamzar has run well in his last two starts without quite getting there but Stony Grey is still 10lb higher than his latest victory.
