In depth

Verdict

Laharde made a decent start at Tipperary where he was staying on over the minimum trip though the form hasn't worked out particularly well. General Marshall make a quick reappearance after being caught close home by Toscanini at Dundalk on Sunday. He went clear until fading near the finish and may be ridden with a bit more restraint so will be difficult to catch. Captain My Captain made an encouraging debut behind Parish Boy at Naas though Romiac looks more of a threat after a very promising start behind the speedy Initial at Leopardstown. SORS is undoubtedly the form pick on his run behind Cappella Sansevero in a Listed race at the Curragh and though disappointing in a similar grade at Naas later this is much less demanding and he can gain his first success. Jim Bolger's filly Ringside Humour has a very smart pedigree and any money for her should be noted.
