In depth

Verdict

Gallant Oscar is much better known as a staying chaser these days and last ran in the Grand National. But he reverts to hurdling on a 21lb lower mark so has to be respected. Recent Punchestown winner Master Appeal likes quicker ground but Our Vinnie, who once beat Rule The World over three miles here, returns from chasing and is one to keep an eye on in the market. EMCON is another who has returned from a spell over fences and she's in good form, scoring over this trip at Listowel before a reasonable effort in a Gowran Listed contest. She's handed the vote in a tricky contest as Go It Alone has been raised 14lb for completing a double at Tipperary in April and, like Seskinane, has a long absence to overcome.
