In depth

Verdict

Graceful Legend seemed to appreciate the quicker ground and step up in trip when scoring at Towcester so is far from certain to appreciate forecast slower conditions and a reversal to 2m. She is respected nevertheless, likewise Ludlow bumper winner Poppy Kay, not disgraced on hurdling debut behind La Bague Au Roi at this track last month. Lagavara is an interesting addition to the Twiston-Davies team on the back of a promising debut on her sole bumper start in Ireland but another chance is afforded to CHAMPAGNE TO GO. Rather disappointing on her hurdling debut back in May on good ground, she has had a break since and now returns to action with assured give underfoot, conditions under which she landed a point-to-point victory and a facile bumper success at Wetherby.
