Verdict

It is hard to escape the claims of Gypsy King, who impressed on his debut last term and has all the right entries to be considered as a potential star. Forward Move may have needed the run in the Craven Stakes and could bounce back with a bold show here, while Mordor put in a likeable performance on his Newmarket debut and looks an interesting prospect whatever happens today. Excusez Moi is already exposed and would appear to have a little to find on his effort in the Greenham Stakes last month. Like, Zalongo and I'm Spartacus, he looks up against it at this level and others make more appeal. None more so than Gypsy King, who is bred to appreciate the step up in trip and is expected to take all the beating with Kieren Fallon doing the steering.
