In depth

Verdict

A wide open contest gets proceedings underway and as usual in these events jockeyship is all important and with this in mind the principals look to be Bundy, Wainwright and He's A Rocket and the narrow vote is given to Bundy. The selection has been in good form of late and was a fair second last time out behind Ulysses. He runs off the same mark here has won over course and distance before and with a fair jockey booked he will be hard to beat from what looks a good draw. Wainwright rates the main danger as he won well last time out when beating Red Monarch but all his best form of late has been on the All-Weather and for that reason he is opposed. He's A Rocket is another worthy of respect after his latest third behind Nova Tour but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him on that occasion and he needs to find a little improvement to win. Telepathic has dropped to a handy mark and with the booking of Carol Williams catching the eye he should be noted in the market. Of the remainder Bint Royal is another from a yard in form that has a good draw and could go well at a price but for the winner we return to Bundy.
