    Verdict

Here And Now was very impressive over 2m at York last time but fourth Hochfeld enjoys an 11lb turnaround in the weights and will be suited by this drop in distance. He is two from two around here so warrants respect but might find DURETTO a tough nut to crack. Andrew Balding’s six-year-old also goes well on the Roodee and is the form pick on his latest third in a Group 2 at Newmarket having gone close over this trip at York earlier. Cosmelli won the Northumberland Plate consolation race at Newcastle in June but is better on the all-weather and held by Top Tug on last year’s form.
