In depth

Verdict

BUCKLAND BEAU ended a long losing run when finishing three lengths ahead of Banta Bay in a better race than this at Chelmsford. A 3lb rise may not be enough to anchor him today now he’s got his head back in front. Arctic Sea’s recent second came in a claimer in France and Gerry The Glover is preferred back over today’s trip having struggled over 1m2f at Epsom last time. The latter has slipped down the weights along with Cricklewood Green and looks best of the rest.
