      Verdict

Holiday Camp can open his account at the expense of Allegretto, with Etaar and Floral Print also likely to make a bid for the places. Holiday Camp should be straight enough now after two runs this term, the latest of which saw Barry Hills' colt finish fourth at Ripon. Like his other two runs, the ground was on the easy side, and now that he has faster underfoot conditions, the son of Chester House should show his true worth. It is also worth noting that he has now qualified for a handicap mark, and was down to run in such an event at Newmarket on Friday, but takes in this maiden instead. Allegretto never got going on his Leicester return, and should strip fitter, while Etaar now gets the trip that he needs on breeding. That comment also applies to the filly Floral Print who will have learnt from her Beverley introduction, but with more experience to call on, it is Holiday Camp that we look to as the solution.
