Verdict

CONVINCE has been in great form all season and is given the strong vote to land the finale at the expense of Cape Rock and This Ones For Eddy. The selection has won three times this year, the latest of those back on the turf at Brighton. He has been raised 4lbs for his troubles, which does not seem unfair and if he can recapture his best form he is sure to go close once again. Cape Rock is still a maiden after 11 outings. He has however run well in defeat on a number of occasions and should be noted in the market on his seasonal reappearance. This Ones For Eddy won at Pontefract back in April off an 8lb lower mark. He has run well since off his current mark and caught the eye when second at Hamilton last time out so is short listed to go close once again. That said Convince is the form horse in the race and is the preferred pick.
