Verdict

SAINT LUCY, a very close runner-up to subsequent Grade 2 winner Intense Tango here last month, couldn't handle the step up to Listed level at Sandown and was eventually pulled up. That run on this track puts her into a different category to these rivals and she can gain her first victory. Donna's Pride had shown nothing over the minimum trip but made major progress when racing over 2m4f at Newcastle where she wasn't beaten far into third. That should get her into the frame here with John Quinn's point-to-point winner KIlas Girl likely to do better for a stiffer test of stamina, a remark that also applies to Lucky Boots who has shown progressive form in minor company between the flags.
