In depth

Verdict

Another competitive field goes to post for this selling hurdle and there are many in-form rivals in opposition including Terdad, Western Bluebird and Bold Cardowan, who all are all sure to have their supporters, but we prefer to take a chance on Bengal Boy. The seven-year-old from the Peter Beaumont yard has been chasing without success of late and a drop in grade, and a return to hurdles, could see a reversal in fortunes on a track he has run his best races at. Terdad rates the main danger on his latest second behind End Of An Error. He is running of the same mark here and with conditions in his favour he will not be far away. Western Bluebird won well in this grade at Hexham last time out when defeating Comfortable Call and with the step up in trip sure to suit he is another that has good claims. Of the remainder, Bold Cardowan and The Alleycat are taking a drop in grade and are worth noting in the market but we are happy to stick with Bengal Boy.
