Transpennine Star won over today’s trip at Redcar a week ago and carries 6lb extra. But runner-up CHAUVELIN re-opposes on much better terms with an apprentice’s allowance further helping his cause and Nigel Tinkler’s charge may come out best on this occasion. Triple Eight and La Bacouetteuse were not far behind in that Redcar race but the latter had earlier found Cosmic Tigress too good over 2m at Musselburgh. It was soft going when Nonagon won at Hamilton back in May and he could go well off his current mark.
