In depth

Verdict

Desert Omen is steadily dropping down in class and should be capable of taking this weak seller, Zonnebeke and Homme Dangereux look to be the main dangers. Mark Johnston's three-year-old travelled down here last time and was a shade disappointing, finishing fifth of nine in a modest handicap. This however is even weaker and over this extra furlong he does hold solid claims. Zonnebeke didn't do too badly on her return to the turf here last time and this does appear to be her best trip. Homme Dangereux finished in front of the selection last time but is lot worse off at the weights. However he should still be involved in the finish. Fayr Firenze may find this distance a bit taxing but should still prove best of the others, however Desert Omen has his easiest task to date and gets the vote.
