Verdict

Recent Wolverhampton winner Fly To Dubai has an obvious chance under his penalty if able to reproduce the form back on turf but there is no guarantee of that and preference is for Gurrun, who gets the vote ahead of Courageously. The selection was well held behind Sirce at Leicester last time when finishing just behind another of today's rivals Master Joseph but the soft ground that day would have been against Neville Callaghan's colt, who is better judged on previous form at Lingfield. The faster surface today should enable the son of Dansili to reverse form with Mick Channon's colt and he may be good enough to take the honours. Coombe Centenary has yet to prove conclusively that she stays this far, while Oakley Absolute is not certain to do so either on pedigree. Courageously should stay but Paul Cole's colt has shown little promise so far and a safer option looks to be Gurrun.
