In depth

Verdict

Locombe Hill should go well and gets the vote over Gifted Flame, with Tap, Jubilee Street and Riska King others to note. Locombe Hill was given a confident ride by today's pilot when getting up close home at Ayr recently, and as the partnership is kept intact here, hopes are high that he can follow up off what is still a very reasonable mark compared to a few years ago. That was the first time that Daniel Tudhope had sat on the horse, and judged by the way he has ridden one or two other winners this season, he has a bright future in the saddle. Gifted Flame was too slowly away at Ayr last time and his style of running will give him plenty to do in this ground. Tap is a course and distance winner and so merits a mention, while Jubilee Street scraped home at Catterick and has more to do. Locombe Hill has plenty going for him and is the selection.
