ORIENTAL SPLENDOUR is well drawn, from a yard who have been saddling winners all year on this track, and beat a subsequent winner when scoring here last month so can go in again from just 2lb higher. Ginger Jam is on the wide outside and it will be difficult to win from there unless the ground turns soft while Viking Way has never run over the minimum trip though this is a stiff track. One One Seven has only won at Newcastle though is quite well treated and well enough drawn to make his presence felt. Optimickstickhill beat Pearl Noir at Ripon and is better drawn that that rival here.
