In depth

Verdict

Woteva looks a good bet to land the opener; the list of dangers is headed by Another Luke and Favourite Girl. John Quinn's filly certainly looks the part on breeding as she is a half-sister to the top-class First Trump and from the best of the draw she could prove to be the one to beat. Another Luke does at least have some public form to go on and he was not disgraced last time in a race won by Saxford. He will go on the ground, and from a fair draw he has to be respected. Favourite Girl is another who catches the eye although on breeding she will probably be better over further in time. The market could provide the clues in this contest but for the winner we are happy to stick with Woteva to land the prize.
