In depth

Verdict

Blue Spinnaker bolted up at Doncaster last week and he looks a good bet to follow-up; his chief rivals could be Harry The Hawk and Amanda Carter. The selection won with plenty in hand when last seen and he is quickly turned out here. He has a good draw and he can make it count. Harry The Hawk is an unexposed type and there was plenty to like about the way he won last time when he beat Right Option at Newcastle. He will handle the ground and if he is fit enough to do himself justice on his seasonal reappearance then he can run a big race. Amanda Carter showed some solid form last season and she is another who has a good draw. She can go well, along with Farne Island, although the form of the Micky Hammond stable is a slight concern. A good race this but Blue Spinnaker should take plenty of beating.
