BLENHEIM WARRIOR had shown more promise at Chepstow last month and started favourite at Newbury on Friday but got no sort of run and compensation awaits with Andrea Atzeni taking over from an apprentice. Maverik has been mainly confined to the all-weather but did have one very good run on fast ground at Newbury to his credit last summer. Sharjah travels over from Ireland where he's a regular winner on Polytrack at Dundalk though he's only been successful once on Turf. The veteran Favorite Girl has more success over hurdles these days though she's on a low enough mark to make her presence felt.
