      Verdict

A terrific line-up for this valuable Lady riders event and we have narrowed it down to Minority Report, Flying Spirit and Sangiovese, with the former just getting the nod. Luca Cumani has been very patient with this son of Rainbow Quest who is steadily improving. He looked in need of a test of stamina when second to a decent type at Sandown last month over ten furlongs. Add the fact that Cumani has already landed a similar event to this with the improving Mephisto, and you have a horse with very strong claims. Flying Spirit comes here in great heart, Gary Moore's versatile performer has landed three flat handicaps this season , along with a hurdles event at Stratford and looks certain to be in the firing line again. Sangiovese has also hit the winning note this season, landing competitive events at Newbury and Kempton, before being slightly outclassed last time at Newmarket. Today's opponents look less taxing and a big run is expected. A One and Bucks are just two others in with a shout here, but Minority Report is the one that gets our vote.
