In depth

Verdict

Hanseatic League looks the one to be on here with Je Suis Belle, Entailment, Sentiero Rosso and Graze others to consider. The selection has finished runner-up in each of his starts to date, being beaten narrowly on each occasion. Overall, his form is solid enough at this type of level and he should play a part at the business end today. Lynda Ramsden's Entailment, who cost 30,000 guineas, has plenty to like on breeding so watch out for him, while Graze On's second to Witchry last time rates as solid form in the context of this race. Harry's House has three lengths to find on that form and Sentiero Rosso ran well on his debut after a slow start, and his breeding catches the eye also. From the strong Barry Hills stable, Je Suis Belle warrants respect and she certainly showed promise on her debut at Windsor, a race that has produced winners. Of the others, Lucy Parkes looked to be making strides in the right direction last time and this half-sister to My Melody Parkes and Summerhill Parkes is entitled to improve again. It is hard to make a strong case for the rest which brings us back to the selection, which is Hanseatic League.
