In depth

Verdict

NAFAATH once looked very promising but had a long break before returning last year where he ran well on the Flat. He will need a stiff test here but, in the hope of a strong gallop, gets the nod. His stablemate Dr Dalwhinny has become disappointing after a bright enough start while four-times Flat winner Twelve Strings hasn't shown much in three starts for Venetia Williams. Bold Duke belied his 50/1 starting price when runner-up at Leicester though that came between two poor efforts while three-times Irish winner Temlett hasn't been seen for three years, though the market should be watched as his overall form is in a different league to these.
