In depth

Verdict

Len Lungo has a decent record in these types of events and his Chef de Coeur can make a winning debut, with possibly Funny Times proving to be his biggest danger. The selection is by Pistolet Bleu out of a Cadoudal mare so has plenty to like on breeding and, particularly if the market speaks in his favour, he looks set to go very well. Another newcomer, the Nicky Richards-trained Funny Times, also catches the eye on breeding and can also go well. For that matter Custom Design, General Hardi and No Hesitation are not offputting in this respect either, and, as ever in these types of races, the market will provide some guidance. Bear this in mid but, for now, we are happy to side with Chef de Coeur.
