    Verdict

Huka Lodge, Falchion and Alfy Rich are three against the field in this wide open contest and the tentative vote goes to Falchion. The selection won with plenty in hand when defeating Alfy Rich last time out and although that rival is better off at the weights here the selection is taken to confirm his superiority over him under conditions that suit. Huka Lodge rates the main danger he also won well last time out when beating Briar's Mist and will not be far away but he will do well to win under his big weight. Jallastep has place claims but was well beaten behind Shannon's Pride last time out and that form has since been let down and he may be in the handicappers grip. Of the remainder Forever Eyesofblue looks on a handy mark and is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Falchion.
