In depth

Verdict

If none the worse for her trip to Ireland, Voile can get back to winning ways in an interesting renewal of the Princess Margaret. On jockey bookings she looks the stronger of the Richard Hannon entries and her fourth in a Listed event at Leopardstown gives her every chance here. Hannon also runs Noyac, who won well at Newmarket (with Wavertree Girl in third), but the race is a little hard to quantify. Even with a three-pound penalty, Fortunately has to be considered. Her form is solid and that penalty comes as a consequence of a very good win in the Listed Dragon Stakes at Sandown. Caldy Dancer is now with Mick Channon, and a return to the impression she created when winning at Chester first time out would make her interesting. Needles And Pins' second to Tentative last time reads well but more is probably required, a similar comment applying to Rosehearty, who came unstuck in the Cherry Hinton last time. River Belle won well over course and distance on her debut, but that looked a below-par event for the track. The upside is that Kieren Fallon takes the ride. All in all, then, it all points back to Voile.
