      Verdict

      Hoh Mike is selected here ahead of Elhamri and Hinton Admiral. Hoh Mike rates as the best of these based on his juvenile form, his best efforts being his Norfolk Stakes and Cornwallis Stakes runner-up runs, both at this venue. Elhamri and Hinton Admiral are rated five pounds behind him, the former being a Listed winner that fared respectably in Group races last season, the latter being an all-weather Listed winner who ran well off a mark of 108 in a Newmarket handicap last time. There are some promising types among the others but, overall, they will need to improve this time around if they are to feature in terms of winning. All of which, once again, returns us to the selection, which is Hoh Mike, who can defy his 207-day absence from the track.
