In depth

Verdict

In an interesting race, Italian Girl is selected ahead of Fretwork. Alovera was not disgraced in Group 3 and Listed company last season and it will be interesting to see how she fares this season. Fretwork's maiden form is solid, while Italian Girl was ahead of Alovera when they met in the Oh So Sharp Stakes at Newmarket last season. It has to be of interest that Willie Haggas has chosen to debut Jaleela in such a race as this but Silver Pivotal will need to build on her Wolverhampton win if she is to score. Once again, then, the selection is Italian Girl, who looks to hold pretty solid form coming into this race.
