Dakota Gold was only beaten a length off this mark at Redcar in May having made a winning reappearance ahead of Computable at Thirsk. Despite top weight, he shouldn’t be far away and Twizzell had Computable behind when a close third behind The Nazca Lines at Carlisle two weeks ago. But the winner had proved no match for BATTEN THE HATCHES at Redcar earlier and David Barron’s unexposed sprinter can win for the third time in five starts here, despite an 8lb rise. The O’Meara pair, Black Isle Boy and Impart, can play a part but recent winners Yorkshiredebut and Sheepscar Lad will need to improve again to figure in this higher grade.
