Verdict

Gulf Of Poets’ winning run came to an end at Hamilton and he looks in the handicapper’s grip now but Calder Prince and Two For Two both won in this grade last time. The latter was formerly handled by David O’Meara, who has KHARBETATION in this. The four-year-old has clearly been difficult to train and makes his reappearance and handicap debut but he made such a big impression when winning a Thirsk maiden last summer that he could be anything. Home Cummins never seems to run two races alike but stablemate Innocent Touch shouldn’t be far away and Manson and Candelisa also warrant a mention. Boots And Spurs and One Word More look best of the rest.
