Ancient Cross may be 11 but he's going to crop up in one of these competitive sprints after a series of promising efforts. This may well be the day but it's Tim Easterby's ANOTHER ROYAL who may foil the plan. She clearly failed to fire last time but previous efforts this term should see her go close off what looks a feasible mark. She's equally at home over five or six furlongs. Sleeping Apache ties in closely with the selection on recent Pontefract running but is trying this trip for the first time in the current campaign unlike the selection, There is also the suspicion that the Dods inmate is rather in the grip of the assessor. Bashiba is in good form and the booking of Graham Lee takes the eye but he has yet to score over a sixth furlong. He's running well at present though and makes the shortlist.
