Verdict

William Haggas saddled last year’s winner and has a couple entered this time. Haydock winner Favorite Moon may be a better bet than A Star Above, who couldn’t get past Mambo Nights at Goodwood. Coltrane may be more progressive than The Queen’s Punctuation of the two Andrew Balding runners while Bodyline has been crying out for this sort of trip and goes on the shortlist. Arthurian Fable won over 1m6f at Sandown and Grand Bazaar was only beaten a short-head at Ascot when on a hat-trick and should confirm that form with Wise Glory. Midnights Legacy goes from strength-to-strength but KIPPS had a couple of these behind when only beaten half-a-length by St Leger hopeful Hukum over 1m4f at Royal Ascot before finding 1m2f too short at Newmarket so gets another chance.
