Verdict

Flying Childers Stakes runner-up Astrophysics showed plenty of dash on his reappearance here last month and should be sharper this time but Roossey, who was progressive in his first campaign, hasn't run since September and this is ultra-competitive. Magical Memory loves fast ground as he's been showing this spring though he's 6lb higher than his latest success while Mukhmal created a surprise when making most in a tough handicap at Newmarket. After easily landing a Doncaster maiden on fast ground, SCALZO turned a competitive Haydock handicap into a procession, coming home well clear. He's been raised an astonishing 18lb but looks Group class and should be capable of taking this. Twilight Son completed his hat-trick and remained unbeaten without unduly exerting himself at Newmarket and he's another with a big weight rise to contend with but it will be a surprise if he's not in contention along with the very consistent Explosive Lady, placed in a Haydock Listed contest last time.
