Verdict

A potentially trappy little race where stakes should not be overdone but we will side with High Chart to have the edge over Elsie Hart, Justaquestion and Azuree. Trainer George Margarson rates his charge highly and has been wanting to step her up after she landed a five furlong contest at Windsor on debut a couple of weeks ago. Bred to do well over this trip, if she handles the ground then we think she could lead them home here. Elsie Hart was also a debut winner at Newcastle first time out. That was in bottomless ground and she will again have some cut to help here. She should also handle the step up in distance and can go well. Ian Wood sends Justaquestion, another winner over the minimum trip in good to soft last time out and another threat to the selection if improving again, while Azuree ran on well late as Salisbury and this six furlongs will suit better, so she can be expected to go close with conditions more in her favour here. Even so, High Chart makes a fair bit of appeal here and that remains our selection.
