In depth

Verdict

Not the best Class B handicap we'll see this season and one that can go to topweight Parkview Love, with State Dilemma, Danesmead and Bygone Days others to consider. Parkview Love runs off the same mark as when third of 11, beaten five lengths in the European Free Handicap last time out. He handles cut well enough, and with stamina guaranteed we expect him to try to make all here and make it more difficult for his opponents to get home in the ground. State Dilemma is another who will be staying on at the death. Barry Hills drops him back to six furlongs for the first time, which is a little surprising as he is bred to do well at this trip and we should see an improvement now. The ground is the big imponderable, but providing he handles it then he can take a hand. Danesmead looks one of those consistent sorts that each way thieves love. Forever in the frame, he looks to have too much weight to win but another appearance in the first three is on the cards here. Soft ground Kempton winner Bygone Days is unexposed and there could be more to come judged on that effort, so he could make an impact here, though the drop back in trip for Redwood Rocks does not necessarily look to be an advantage. For the selection then, we return to Parkview Love.
