Sir Michael Stoute's Border Castle is entitled to come on for his reappearance at Windsor last month and, with ground conditions to suit, is taken to open his account for the season at the main expense of Piccolomini and Dance To My Tune. The last mentioned is one of two runners in the race trained by Mick Easterby and, despite Kieren Fallon being booked for the yard's other runner Trouble Mountain, he still looks the more likely winner having been running consistently well all season. Brian Ellison's Torrid Kentavr steps up in trip but is not guaranteed to stay and of more interest may be Tim Easterby's Triple Jump, who has slipped to a fair mark. The Michael Jarvis-trained Ofaraby seems to be in the grip of the handicapper at present and a bigger threat is likely to come from Mark Johnston's Piccolomini, who has a nice racing weight. Border Castle is potentially still ahead of the handicapper though and gets the vote to open his account for the season.
